I started training MMA with Onur in 2015. After a few months Onur had turned professional in his MMA career which meant that he was focused on training at AVT in Leeds. I picked up training Muay Thai in-between MMA sessions, and in 2016 decided to focus on BJJ.
In March 2016 I started training at 10th Planet Darlington under Luke Randell. I love the 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu system, created by Eddie Bravo, and have achieved a brown belt in 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu.
I have traveled to train which has taken me from Amsterdam through to LA.
Throughout my journey I've had the opportunity to compete and have competed in various promotions from BJJ247, Empire and the Yorkshire Open to name a few. I would have to say that winning the British Open in 2016 is the highlight so far...
Being inspired by the community and my love to learn, I decided to give back to the community via teaching, which has lead me to this point in opening Hybrid Grappling with Onur, who will always be the reason that I started.
